HEARTS is built to unify Ethiopia’s fragmented ambulance landscape by connecting all registered public, private, and NGO providers, along with existing emergency call lines, into a coordinated national digital system. Rather than replacing existing services, HEARTS strengthens them by enabling real-time fleet tracking, shared communication channels, and integrated dispatch support, resulting in faster, safer, more reliable, collaborative, and evidence-based emergency transport for every patient.
With national regulatory approvals in place, HEARTS serves as the digital backbone of the Ethiopian Ambulance Alliance Network (EAAN). Through EAAN, the system unifies ambulance providers on a shared platform that enhances collaboration, quality, and equitable access to emergency care.
